According to this video, not only are they finally getting dlss frame gen working in Linux, but supposedly Cachyos has a custom proton file that allows you to enable it. Does anyone know what this file is and how I can try it out on my system? I do have the proton-cachyos installed, but still no dlss frame gen.
Frame gen and HDR have been the two things keeping me from making the switch to Cachyos full time. I think if I could get frame gen working I could live without HDR for awhile until Nvidia support for it gets better.
whatever games that support it FG. Can confirm the build naim posted is working for me in the latest Sony games (god of war and horizon for example) and giving better latency number than FSR.
Got it installed and tried it out on cyberpunk 2077 last night. It works ok! Can tell it’s just a preview and not ready for wide release yet. Frame rates in Linux with frame gen on weren’t as good as windows, and it definitely wasn’t as smooth.
Are there launch options arguments to include? Do we have to use WINE_HAGS=1? I am asking, cause right now I am using the Nukem9 mod dlss_to_fsr3 frame gen mod with Proton-LFX2 to have frame gen on certain games and we use that argument.
I wouldn’t describe it as “flawless”. It works, but it seems to add a lot of stutter to the game. Definitely not smooth. I feel like as it is, the DLSS Enabler mod with protonge 9-16 works much better.
