Default battery optimization in cachyos?

Hi everyone. I switched to cachyos today and the battery life of my laptop has increased incredibly. Does anyone know about the battery optimizations that come by default? I normally use powertop but I am hesitant because it may mess up the current settings.

Bump.
Also want to know about this

Hey,

We do not do any “special” changes, outside the optimization in terms of compiler flags and co.
We use as default power-profiles-daemon and working closely with the developer of it (AMD) together, to improve the expierence with it, to find the best middle way between performance and powersaving.

Since I dont have a laptop with linux, therefore I can not test it currently, what other distributions are doing.

Maybe its also because due the performance optimization there is “less time spend” on a task, and therefore it takes less power.

try: cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/scaling_governor
chances are it shows “powersave” which is the governor optimising your laptop for battery life
