Davinci resolve keeps telling me my GPU memory is full. I have rtx 3050ti laptop and I have never had this problem in any other distro I have tried except cachyos. It even used to work in windows 11. I tried running resolve with prime but nothing changes. I changed GPU mode from cuda to opencl and now I can’t even play videos or hear audio at all. I don’t know what the problem is and I can’t even find anything helpful online
Not sure if this will help or not
DaVinci Resolve 19 - Your GPU memory is full
I ran into this when DR updated to 19, and this helped me on my end.
- Reduce Timeline Resolution : Lowering the timeline resolution can reduce the amount of VRAM used by DaVinci Resolve. You can do this by going to Project Settings > Master Settings > Timeline Resolution and selecting a lower resolution like 1920 x 1080 HD.

uh oh, memory leak, my worst enemy. I don’t think there’s even a fix that so I am guess I am just gonna use something else. Thank you, this helped me figure out the problem at least
I tried to set it as low as possible but it literally doesn’t do anything lmao
Sorry to heart that, but it seems to be fine not super just Ok, on my end

Hey there, I also have this issue and I’ve tried these solutions and they didn’t work. I’m using an RTX 2050 laptop and when switching to CachyOS this happened.
