Hello,
yesterday I did a fresh installation of CachyOS, KDE Plasma and japanese as my language, however after the installation had finished, I had to set all the fonts manually, since the installer defaults to Noto Sans - instead of Noto Sans CJK JP - which doesn’t support japanese characters and only displays them in serif.
It would be really nice, if the installer could default to the corresponding font, if a CJK language is selected.
So Noto Sans CJK JP for Japanese, Noto Sans CJK KR for Korean, Noto Sans CJK SC for Simplified Chinese, Noto Sans CJK TC for Traditional Chines and Noto Sans CJK HK for Traditional Hong Kong Chinese.
The cherry on top would be to add Noto Sans Mono CJK, since I had to manually install it as well.
