Chinese input method with Fcitx5

Hi, I would like to install Fcitx5 on the KDE Plasma to type Chinese. Besides the “fcitx5-rime” and “fcitx5-chinese-addons”, do I need to set the environment variables (GTK_IM_MODULE=fcitx
QT_IM_MODULE=fcitx) as instructed on the Arch wiki? Do I need to install additionally package as well?
