My problem: I’m trying to be able to write Swedish letters in a Wine app (Sword Searcher 9, by the way) but I can not. Swedish letters being “å, ä, ö”. These keys does not register. The app it self can show “åäö” letters, and I can paste “åäö” into the app. I just can’t type them.
ChatGPT wanted me to change the Wine keyboard regestry but it would boot up as 10001000 ever time, despite changes I made to it, which ChatGPT said was a fail safe when Wine could not get a real keyboard layout, but it was clearly unsure why. It became more and more clear ChatGPT don’t have a solution. I have not been able to find any discussion on the Internet about my problem.
I’m new on Linux, CachyOS is my firs Linux distro. If someone recognize this kind of issue I would be thankful for help. As I said, the Wine app show “åäö”, I can paste “åäö” into the Wine app, I just can’t write these letters on my keyboard.
