I have no idea which update is causing this; in any case, I haven’t changed any settings.
When I try to install a game using an install.exe file, the installer gets stuck at 1% and nothing happens. I have this problem regardless of which version of Proton I use. The same issue occurs with Lutris and the Heroic Launcher.
Could this have something to do with Wine?
