[Calamares] Installation Failed: Boost.Python error in job "mount"

I am trying to install CachyOS systemd-boot XFS GNOME using Calamares. The full log: https://termbin.com/d6go

I’ve previously had this issue, including on a different computer. Btrfs and XFS, grub or systemd-boot, the error occurs. Updating before installing doesn’t appear to fix the error. Once, I seemed to get past the error, but I’m not sure how. I’ve been putting the USB stick in a different slot and that seemed to work, but now it doesn’t.

I will now note that I tried again and it worked. It seems that I am unsure of the cause, still. My keyboard is lagging a lot, too. One thing I notice is I often close “CachyOS Hello” after the launcher for the installation starts (prompting the user to select bootloader, etc.) This time, I left it open. Maybe closing the window that launches the other window somehow causes something to go wrong. Maybe the error is just rare and inconsistent and I was unlucky.

I can confirm this appears to be the cause: “…I often close “CachyOS Hello” after the launcher for the installation starts…“. Three times I closed the Hello app after the launcher started… failed with this error every time. After googling and finding this forum post, I left the hello app open and… viola it installed perfectly.

I also confirm the same behavior. It first failed with “CachyOS Hello” closed, with the above error message. I tried leaving the Hello open after reading this thread and it worked. Rather silly and surely an easy fix.
