CachyOS iso on USB won't boot

Hi @ptr1337,

Finally been able to boot CachyOS and the problem I had have been solved by none other than Ubuntu. I booted Ubuntu cause, why not when the thing you want doesn’t work. Ubuntu told me when I booted it that it wasn’t able to load fully because my system was using Intel RST instead of AHCI. So I had to enable AHCI before continuing using Ubuntu and that I did. So, it made me wonder : what if this was what prevented my system booting CachyOS? That’s exactly what was the problem all along. So, if you are in touch with the CachyOS devs, maybe it would be cool that the live USB give some hints about that problem…

Bye bye.

How did you do that, my friend. I have the same issue. And there is no bug nothing, it just crashes and provides opportunity to press any key to go back to ventoy. I don’t think it’s ventoy, cuz everything else works.

How to switch to AHCI?

Cachyos can be signed after install

From what i remember you have to enroll the ventoy certificate when secure boot is on

first check out if AHCI is enabled - cmd: lspci -v

if not just open the BIOS, look for “satasettings” or “storage” or something
and set AHCI to ‘enable’

I fixed the problem, the jun ISO had issues with the installation process. The Aug ISO, was fine, but for some reason the file was corrupt, so it just crashed on me. Later I fixed that. Works like a charm.
