The DistroWatch site reports that the cachy os site is in 8th place in terms of hits, having overtaken fedora.
There are just too many linux distributions out there. Some distributions just change the desktop and become a new distribution. But cachyos has been standing out because of its unique performance optimizations.

CachyOS showing dominance.
The metrics are just page calls, done mostly by “users”.
What is maybe more important for overall usage is seeing what dockerhub and other business oriented pages show. Red Hat not even being in the top 13 but elementary?

Everybody know that distrowatch ain’t a “most used/best distro in the world ranking” but a “what is trending lately”. It always pain me to see that Arch is now 62 in the ranking, but I know Arch not in danger to disapear. It’s just not trending and I’m perfectly fine with that.
Yes it’s not the most accurate. In fact it’s not accurate at all. But I dare you to create your own distro and try to crack the top 10 just to see how easy it is!
