Cachy, wine,yabridge bitwig working vstis

Hi there , I’ve tried everything to get non native vsti working in cachy OS to no avail (using yabridge). All have GUI issues. I’ve tried downgrading to wine staging 9.21 but nothing works on that version also in cachy. Weird as I have an arch linux install on a different laptop with 9.21 and most plug ins works just fine.

All native plugs and audio work perfectly, i.e Vital, Hive, TAL, etc How are you getting your other vsti’s to work.

All the plug ins sound and controls work in bitwig container., its just cant use GUI issue. Is there a working fix. Followed @morten guide in setting it up. It’s working like a charm otherwise stable excellent music production environment. I’m on hte standard cachy wine, but getting no luck in working vstis.

Thanks richy

using reaper jabridge and the newest wineversions

for wine i need to activate an emulated screen via winecfg

the bluescreen needs to be present on the desktop, you can bury it under other screens but yeah…

its working but wished it would be easier

Thanks buddy I did end up at blue screen zone but changed it back. Setting desktop to emulate virtual ill try again. I hope this gets fixed as cachy is the perfect os apart from wine

on retrying I did get a couple to work keyzone classic, but most still unusable, prob got enough linux native plugs anyway now

have you tried using wine-cachyos instead of the standard wine?

Yes Morton tried winecachy from initial install no luck with most plugs.

I experience a big difference between vendors, so no solution is perfect at the moment unfortunately. Some work quite easily, some are harder to get working and some are not working at all.

I have started to use this build of Yabridge, which seem to run a little better: Fix misleading IPlugView::canResize log message · robbert-vdh/yabridge@48ea974 · GitHub

It takes some manual steps to install, since you have to overwrite the files you already installed, so it’s a little risky.
