Brightness wonkiness on Steam Deck OLED

Notably, this occurs only on the desktop, the steam deck UI is just fine, with even HDR working. This also makes me think it might have something to do with HDR metadata not being properly cleared or something.

Although it doesn’t show clearly on the video, this makes the maximum brightness somewhat dim, much more than when in handheld mode.

Having the same issue, did this happen with a recent update? I installed CachyOS Handheld for the first time and have been dealing with this, I see no mentions older than 3 days ago.

Apparently, this is a known issue and it should be fixed in the next linux-cachyos-deckify build. They were talking about it on the Discord.
