Blank screen when trying to install

Hello, I am new to linux distros, I am trying to dual boot windows and cahcyos on my laptop. I have tried using a bootable usb as well as creating a partition and copying the cachyos install files to the drive. I can find the boot option in my bios with both methods, however, when i select the version of cachyos I wish to install I am met with an infinite black screen. Any tips or help would be greatly appreciated.

Hey,

There was an issue yesterday, which resulted into a blackscreen due the polkit upgrade. Archlinux has implemented a fix and it should work fine again.

Can you not boot into the ISO, or after the installation?

Hi,

I don’t know if this is the right thread for this, I’m also experiencing an installation problem. I first tried to boot with ventoy but it just takes me back to the image selection. Then I tried making a bootable USB, but after trying too boot from the USB it would take me back the the device selection to boot

Use the search engine to search for CachyOS* and you will find a solution.
*The CachyOS forum is so fragmented that you are more likely to find its content using the search engine than by searching directly in CachyOS.

It doesn’t load the installer. I can see the boot menu options, you know CachyOS or the CachyOS with NVDIA. Either option i select to run its just a black screen.
