Hi everyone, let me start by saying that I’ve recently moved to CachyOS and I’m enjoying it a lot!
One bug that I noticed (possibly with KDE itself) is that on boot-up, the battery applet will always name my battery as “Battery 2” (See pic below). I don’t have a second battery on my laptop, so this seems to be a bug. The applet can be made to correctly display just “Battery” if I run systemctl --user restart plasma-powerdevil.service
or if I kill and restart org_kde_powerdevil
.
I’ve found a bug report on KDE mentioning this problem. Further documentation on: components/batterycontrol: Re-use battery names correctly (1931e036) · Commits · Plasma / Plasma Workspace · GitLab. Both seem very relevant to the bug I’m experiencing, but since I’m still a Linux beginner, I cannot understand the technical details discussed there.
May I know if anyone knows how I can fix this issue, or should we wait for KDE devs to patch it upstream?
