After installing CachyOS, I found no missing firmwares.
But in archlinux, I have to install firmwares manually, e.g.
yay -S --needed linux-firmware-qlogic ast-firmware aic94xx-firmware wd719x-firmware
Are the firmwares installed by CachyOS installer automatically?
But the the pkg names are different, does CachyOS renamed the pkg names?
Packages from CachyOS’s own repositories may differ from the official Arch packages because they are optimized for maximum performance.
No - there is no firmware package provided by Arch or in the AUR that is not available in Cachy or the AUR just the same.
While some packages are rebuilt with optimizations these are organized into their respective (v3, v4) repositories and have the same package name.
