TL;dr - I have to unplug one of my monitors to get into my system, this started within the last few days ago. I troubleshooted the first day all day and have tried two fresh installs. I would love a what, why and, how so as a Linux newb I know how to troubleshoot my pc like an adult. This started from something that rolled out this week. I’m using Plasma.
So I’ve been back on Cachy for about a week now, I’ve been loving it, I really have until a day or two ago. A few days ago I decided if I wanted to easily mod CP2077 I’ll just dual boot-dual drive windows 11. It was fine the first day but then the next morning after about two hours of not being able get back to Cach. I was back in, but I made a rookie mistake by screwing up my main boot option after using a snapshot to get back in AND running the updates that came in on or around 4/22/26 without finishing the restore. It was around this time I couldn’t get into Cachy without unplugging one of my
Monitors. After mindless troubleshooting my bootloader was so cooked I couldn’t even get back into my install so I nuked the install and did a fresh install but to my surprise the issue lingers. To me this says something that rolled out this week is causing this problem, I’ve tried rolling back to 595xx .03 and that didn’t work I think the current is 595xx .03-1. I’ve tried booting in via the lts and when I got to the login screen I plugged my second monitor back in and boom the black screen abyss. Please help.
