I recently installed cachyos dual boot with windows on my HTPC with a 1050ti so I can get 4k60, but when I select the 4k option, the highest refresh rate available is 29.97 or something. I have the PC plugged into my AVR, which is plugged into my tv, as my tv only allows stereo pass-through.
4k 60 works in windows, but not cachyos, or the live boot. I initially thought it was an EDID thing, but when I copied the EDID, and opened it in CRU, the option for 4k60 was there. I tried plugging the PC directly into my tv, which allowed 4k, flat 30, but that’s it.
I am a beginner Linux user, so any help or suggestions are appreciated.
