4k Monitor Flickering Above 60Hz

Using KDE Plasma, does not work on both wayland and x11. Both behave similarly, only shows 30hz 60hz and 120hz in the display settings, and setting to 120hz causes flickering. On X11 I can create a custom mode and then set it to 240hz and it also flickers but I can tell its running at the 240hz. The flickering almost seems like certain elements are causing it. I was able to play a few games of cs2 just fine with some occasional flickering but when I try and use a browser it becomes unusable.

Specs:
Ryzen 7 7800X3D
Asus TUF X670E-PLUS WIFI
Radeon RX 7900XTX (Using the open source drivers)

This is pretty much a untouched cachyos install and it has been great up until the point where I’ve upgraded my monitor. 1080p 144hz on wayland worked great.

Important question, HDMI2.1 or Display Port 2.0?

I am using the displayport that came with the monitor and I’m pretty sure the 7900xtx supports dp2.0. I am also dualbooted with windows 11 and I do not experience this flicker in windows.

The monitor is a Samsung Odyssey G8

OK yeah I don’t know then.
