I mostly use tech to play video games. I enjoy being in control of my own hardware and I’m allergic to closed platforms and walled gardens. Modern consoles and DRM I find very icky. I also enjoy owning the games I purchase so #StopKillingGames !

PC user since 1997, casual Linux user since 2013. Used to dual-boot and utilize Windows as my main gaming OS up until 2025 when I finally got fed up with the exceedingly unwelcome changes in Windows 11 involving ads, forced AI, telemetry, online accounts and worst of all, TPM and SecureBoot corrupting my Linux partitions. Manually keeping these things in check and undoing every unwanted change on every update was rather tiresome. Thus, I decided to stop updating Windows and move to Linux as my main gaming OS, which Valve and their efforts with the Steam Deck proved to me was more than viable.

Not! a very technical user nor a programmer. I just like gaming and really need specialized distributions to help me with that, heh. CachyOS is a really cool project and I hope to stick with it for many years to come.
