Yeah, I understand how it happened. As was announced for the latest installation iso:
When you select Hyprland in the installer, it shows a preview of the new Noctalia default settings:
And on the page after that, when you inspect the Hyprland default packages to be installed, you see the new Noctalia settings there as well:
If the intent was to install vanilla Hyprland, you would uncheck the
cachyos-hypr-noctalia package here.
If this was indeed the OP’s issue, then the mix up between Niri and Noctalia is unfortunate. Someone could have offered help much easier if they had been properly identified and that “problem” communicated.
I think autopiloting through an installation is inviting issues.
