Wayland issue with Feb25 CachyOS install?

For over a year, I have (had) CachyOS on my three systems, now on two. I had to reload CachyOS on the Asus notebook (Feb25 ISO). At logon, hyprland missing from menu although it is installed. Gnome 47 is X11. Hyprland doing well on other two CachyOS PCs. No issues.

The Asus is a X705UDR (1.0) with GPUs NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 Mobile [Discrete] and Intel UHD Graphics 620 @ 1.15 GHz [Integrated].

(I installed Manjaro with Hyprland on the Asus and all is well—just slower.)

I’d like to get CachyOS on the Asus notebook again if possible. Any ideas? I did search the forum and the Web about potential solutions. Unsuccessful.

I noticed that Manjaro has installed the following:

multilib/lib32-vulkan-nouveau 1:24.3.4-1
extra/xf86-video-nouveau 1.0.18-1 (xorg-drivers)
extra/mhwd-nvidia-470xx 470.256.02-10
extra/mhwd-nvidia-390xx 390.157-19
extra/mhwd-nvidia 550.144.03-1
extra/libvdpau 1.5-3

Would any or all of these packages be useful for my NVIDIA GTX 1050 when re-installing CachyOS Feb25 iso? Or, do I go through the GDM thang?

No. Not even sure what these mhwd packages are.

I think Manjaro loads proprietary Nvidia drivers and open source stuff like nouveau/vulkan to cover the bases.
