Tribler startup problem

Aloha, i wanted to try Tribler and installed it via octopi from cachyos.

It doesn’t startup porperly.

The log says:
“Fontconfig warning: “/etc/fonts/fonts.conf”, line 5: unknown element “description”
Fontconfig warning: “/etc/fonts/conf.d/10-hinting-slight.conf”, line 4: unknown element “description”

Fontconfig warning: FcPattern object width does not accept value [75 100)”

I don’t know what to make of this.

Also, as i searched for the log, i saw an empty file named “corrupt-triblerd.conf”. Weird name, what’s it for?

Any recommendations for other torrent-clients?

qbittorrent, deluge, transmission tribler is a weird app, you should post these errors on the AUR page

Thanks, i went with the flatpak release (newer than in cachy repo).

Was not too impressed with tribler.

I thought the AUR packages are tested by their mantainersm aren’t they?

Maybe it worked when they made the package, but with arch something is changing every day. Sometimes they don’t even test it, just update the download link. If there’s a problem you should report on the AUR page or be able to fix it for yourself, then tell them how to fix it.

Thanks. got it now. And will proceed with (even more) caution!
