Hello
I use the network sharing feature alot i share my wifi network over to Ethernet
it worked fine in other distros like linux mint and ubuntu but it is not working on cachyos for some reason which is a shame because this distro is awesome
whats funny is that it worked completely fine in the usb live environment but not when i installed the OS on my SSD
how i usually do it is just by simply a creating a “Wired Ethernet (shared)” connection type in the KDE network settings
i looked this up everywhere online and could not find a solution that worked so any help is appreciated
does this have anything to do with systemd-resolved and dnamasq? because both appear to be installed
yes bro it just seems completely broken on this distro i dont think the firewall is the issue in here cuz i used it on mint with firewall enabled and it worked flawlessly
i already tried that before dnsmasq fails to start checked the journalctl it says it failed because “failed to create listening socket for port 53: port already in use”
what is dnsmasq and systemd-resolved anyway? i mentioned them because i looked online and they are somehow related to network sharing and will that solve the issue? cuz im really new to linux
i also just tried another arch distro “endeavour” and network sharing worked fine over there too
i also reinstalled cachyos on another machine and same issue network sharing does not work really hope there is a solution because i really like cachy and this feature is really essential for me
