Before I start, please know that I am a total noob to Linux. I know Windows and MacOS like the back of my hand, but I am tired of Microsoft and Apple and want to move to something new, hence Linux. However, I am using a Samsung Galaxy G9 49" monitor and I can’t seem to figure out how to allow Linux to display in the correct resolution (5120x1440). To get familiar with Linux, I installed CachyOS via VirtualBox and I am wondering if that is the reason for the issue. But, wanted to see if anyone had any ideas, or if I should just dual boot my Windows PC.
Unfortunately, after reboot (which took a super long time) and once I signed in I received a black screen with just my mouse on it and after about a minute or two the desktop finally loaded, I still do not have the resolution!
