Back in 2003 I took an architectural cad class in high school and i saved my project files. Back then I was able to view them on my home pc with a cracked archicad version on win xp. Recently I found a burned cd of archicad back in 2003 and I want to run it in Linux. Is this possible?
Hi,
maybe you can create a virtual machine that runs Windows, install ArchiCAD, then, export your files in a format the FreeCAD can read (which is pretty much all of them).
Depending in which format your files are, FreeCAD “might” already be able to import them.
I don’t have FreeCAD installed at the moment because my 3D printer isn’t working but you should definitely look into this.
Sorry to not be of more help. - v
Thanks for the suggestion.
