Question about CachyOS

Hi everyone, noob here :slightly_smiling_face:

I’d like to move from my current arch install to CachyOS but I have a question.

Unlike other arch-based distros CachyOS provides all sorts of optimized system packages and applications via its repos, so I was wondering what happens if for some reason in the future the devs stop working on it and its repos are inaccessible? Would CachyOS just keep working and use the “normal” packages from the arch repos?

CachyOS and arch will be all time compatible and we will also work in the future together with arch upstreaming some of our changes.

Also, there are currently no plans to stop this project at all.
