Proton-CachyOS version 9.0.20250227-1 and Wayland Driver

I am assuming that using the Wayland driver, KDE Plasma can tone map the game to HDR? From my experiments it looks like it does but I was wanting someone with more know how to chime in. Also from my understanding, in the display settings, the Maximum SDR brightness is relative to the maximum HDR nits of the monitor for instance 1000 nits in my case because if I set my HDR mode to HDR 400 True Black it shows a maximum of 450 nits in this setting. Is this correct?

Yeah, that is not working well.
Wine Wayland Driver might imprive with Proton 10, which will be released in some months.

Dedicated Gamescope session is currently the best way to do hdr.

What setup do you have? The Wine driver works ok with the games I have tried them on so far: The Last of Us, Uncharted, and Horizon Zero Dawn. What kind of issues have you run across with it?

Wayland driver Resolution 4K tone mapping. The only thing I sometimes have an issue with is the mouse in the menu. Sometimes it takes a few seconds for the cursor to show up.
