Hello.
After an update, I have pixel/graphic errors on my CachyOS.
My laptop is a Lenovo Ideapad Pro 5 4APH8 with an AMD Ryzen 7 7840HS and an AMD Radeon 780M graphics card.
The kernel is Linux 6.13.5-2-cachyos, and the desktop is KDE Plasma 6.3.2 with KWin (Wayland).
The issue only occurs after waking up from hibernation. After a restart, the issue no longer occurs.
What could be the cause of this? Are there any known bugs causing this?
Just a general suggestion, since I also had some issues with Kernel 6.13.x releases on my Beelink Mini PC with a Ryzen 7 8745HS/Radoen 780M: I switched to the LTS Kernel 6.12 via the “CachyOS Kernel Manager” tool, and I never had any issues after that. Maybe worth a try if you don’t require a specific feature of the 6.13 kernel.
The LTS kernel unfortunately didn’t work. After I started it, KDE Plasma froze with graphical glitches after a few minutes. I was able to start the terminal with CTRL+ALT+F3 and restarted KDE by running sudo systemctl restart sddm.service.
If you think it’s KDE, can you find a bug report here that matches your symptoms? Please provide logs from journalctl -b 0 | paste-cachyos after hibernate too. It could be useful. Thanks.
