New user: can't even get the install to start

I’m building a new pc but since the gpu says it will be another 4 days, i thought i would get a had start since i have pretty much everything else and the ryzen 7 7700x has integrated graphics. I have my cachyos install iso on my ventoy usb stick along with bazzite and mint.

My problem starts as soon as i tell it to install cachyos and use normal mode. After about 5 seconds, whether i wait or attempt to start it, my screen turns off and the keyboard goes dark. I have to power off and then back on to start all over again.

If i try the same thing with the other two distros, i can sit there all day with no issue. I haven’t tried installing them because i don’t want them.
I have checked the checksum and that matches so it doesn’t look like my iso is corrupt. I set the integrated graphics to be primary in the bios. I’m running out of ideas a to what my problem might be. Any ideas?

Did you try the compatibility mode on the CachyOS iso?

did you try the grub2-mode on ventoy?

I tried both and neither worked. I ended up updating my bios and now I’m up and running. Not sure why that would have been the problem, the firmware was from August, but there had been 3 updates since then.
