New Fix For Lenovo Legion Pro 7i 16IAX10H with ALC3306 codec

Good evening,

Up until recently I had been banging my head against a wall over this issue. Is there anyway we can get an option through yay or other means to get this fix installed for those of us who have one of these laptops?

FYI without the fix the sound at max sounds low and muffled like you’re under water listening to it.

Here is a link to the github with the fix: GitHub - nadimkobeissi/16iax10h-linux-sound-saga: Actual, complete solution for Linux audio on the Lenovo Legion Pro 7i Gen 10 (16IAX10H)

Thank you for your time,

NT

I am also using this same laptop and would love if the guys building the cachyos kernel could include this the next time they upgrade the kernel. I am not “new” to linux but building a kernel is still more than this old construction worker can comprehend. I would like to apply this fix but not if it will mess with all the other kernel enhancements that cachyos has. Would this fix work if we started with cachyos kernel source? I can follow directions fairly well but I do not 100% understand what I am messing with and what it will affect so I would rather someone who does look at it and tell me its safe.

Glad to see I’m not the only one here who needs this but doesn’t trust themselves to properly do the fix on my own.

Seconding this. Would love to see these fixes pulled into CachyOS

Also seconding this, it would make CachyOS the perfect distro for my device.

id like support for this.
