Kernel 6.11 ignores fixed CPU frequency

Well, as I said - I can help you with and compile you the kernels, but you need to test it.

Otherwise, just other people will face it as soon 6.12 is released. You can help there a lot.

Ok, I would like to help and test. How to start?

A little bit of update on this. @ptr1337 has also noticed a similar problem with the active driver: Core Performance Boost limited frequency is not respected with the 6.12 patches. He will bisect soon and follow up here. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Update: Our curent stance is to drop the 6.12 amd-pstate patches until there are fixes. See 6.11: Drop amd-pstate, add fixes for intel and btrfs, update BORE Sch… · CachyOS/kernel-patches@1db509e · GitHub

Stay tuned for 6.11.1

fixed with 6.11-2 thanks

Yes, no issues with Linux 6.11.1-2-cachyos.

Thanks. I’ll consider this solved for now. I will update again on this thread when we readd the 6.12 patchset with the necessary fixes.

Same issue in 6.12.rc1-1.

Obviously, as the patches were pulled in from 6.12 tree. There hasn’t been any fixes as far as I’m aware. No bisects have been made either.

Bisected it down and reported to AMD:
