KDE starts very slow, much much slower than previously. I see this behavior since few days after some update. Boot process stuck on kde splash logo for dozen seconds and then resumes to desktop. Previously it was almost instant.
Does anyone observe similar issue?
Hi,
Yes, this appears to be a KDE issue. This might be fixed in the upcoming Plasma 6.2
please tell me, plasma 6.2 has already been released in the cashy os repository?
Released yesterday.
How would this sort of thing normally update with distros vs W?
Do we have to do something to update.
Will Cachy team have to do tests first to ensure no conflicts, then release new version?
Also, why is there different installers for software in Cachy, 3 in Hello, vs all-in-one?
There will be a new release soon from KDE to fix this issue. Should be up in some hrs. Check out https://archlinux.org
Here now Kde desktop wait to start 25-30 second
I am also very sorry that KDE is more broken lately. Iām slowly thinking about going back to the stable Xfce.
After update plasma-workspace-6.2.1 now is all ok! Thanks
