Hello there,
Absolutely loving CachyOS and just reinstalled after some time with NixOS. This time around, I have had troubles with your repos giving me timeouts and some other issues. I was about to exclude the CachyOS repos from the settings, when I happened to stumble over the mirror alias in a dotfile, trying to fix some other stuff. I ran that and it worked after. I, once more, had some issues today, installing haskell-free-5.1.10-85-x86_64.pkg.tar.zst, yielding a 572 error (archlinux.cachyos.org). This does not go away, even if I use the mirror alias (cachyos-rate-mirrors).
The second problem described above might not be related, but the first one seemed to me like some mirrors had gone stale and needed to be fixed with the rate mirrors tool, and I just wanted to chime in with my feedback, which is that this should probably be addressed in some way, as it can potentially hinder security updates for users or potentially have them give up on CachyOS, alltogether, as it was never clear that this rate mirrors utility could help or that it even existed. Maybe wrap pacman/yay with something that will run this command before doing syncs, if it hasn’t been done for a while, or something? There are probably better ways, this is just what immediately came to my mind…
