Internal Microphone (unplugged)

After a fresh install of CachyOS, my microphone was shown as unplugged, before using Mint, the microphone properly worked. Any solutions?

Please post results from this command from Terminal @srynprjl

Also be more specific to what s used , be hardware & apps, it might help out.

inxi -A

The output of inxi -A is:

Audio:
Device-1: Intel Tiger Lake-LP Smart Sound Audio
    driver: sof-audio-pci-intel-tgl
  API: ALSA v: k6.1.71-1-lts status: kernel-api
  Server-1: PipeWire v: 1.2.3 status: active

Its a HP Laptop 15 dy2702dx running CachyOS
Card: Realtek ALC236
App Used to check: Pavucontrol

Same results should you try with the CachyOS live ISO?

Weird, it looks fine @srynprjl

What s the mic, maybe it needs a driver , we never know.

Did you try to unplug/replug your mic to see if it s ok afterward !

Do you have the sof-firmware packet installed?

yes i have sof-firmware installed

its an internal microphone, so cant unplug & replug. it works on Linux Mint and Windows, but not on CachyOS

cachyOS live ISO also gives the same, no mic input

Oh, ok , wonder what are their mic settings on those other ones.

Does Mint also use Pipewire?

yes it did Mint 22 used Pipewire
