Installation Woes

Trying to install Cachyos on 2nd drive, errors out before install completes. Log is at https://termbin.com/0yag. Newbie here, so have no idea how to fix. Live boots no problem, but install fails…

Your EFI is too small (pretty sure). 2 GB is now recommended.

Before I go monkeying around with resizing things, there is Only one OS on the current system…windows…and yet the EFI partition is too small?? Thanks fore the quick reply BTW

Well, I tried a NEW EFI on a 2nd drive, and Cachy installed. Made it 2 gigs big as WIKI suggested. But since i ALREADY had refind on my main drive, I booted from there…the main drive had ONLY 100 megs there…which begs the question…WHY does the cachyos require such a big EFI partition to install??

Cachy doesn’t per say. Linux images have grown with more device support, esp Nvidia stuff.

Because the kernel and initramfs is also in the EFI partition.
