High refresh linux

hello everyone
Here I find something weird with Linux
I play fighting games that are stuck at 60fps
In our community everyone agrees that even if the game is stuck at 60fps, playing with a high refresh screen greatly improves input lag and this is true, besides the basic config in offline tournaments and (144 or 240hz screen vsync off and gsync off), the problem is that on linux I don’t feel this advantage, I am currently using kde linux, I would also like to point out that this is the same with wayland, this is due to the composer??? Kwin? kde I’m lost…

If you have the variable refresh rate enabled (in the kde display settings, on auto by default, which enables it for games) on a screen that supports it, it will adapt the screen to the game’s refresh rate. Try disabling this.

It’s so random sometimes, I can hit 1 frame links in Street Fighter 4 on Linux no problem, Wayland or X11, doesn’t matter.

My advice for E-Sports on Linux, get a B350 motherboard from 2018, some of the Samsung RAM on the QVL list from back in the day, then put a Zen 3 and a RDNA 2 graphics card. The more physically similar your computer is to an Xbox or a Steam Deck the better. If your motherboard is too new or you try to use NVIDIA or Intel, that’s where you run into these kinds of problems.

Good luck

and apart from investing in old equipment, is there no solution?
I find that it doesn’t talk enough about competitive mode and Linux.
I have a recent AMD cpu/gpu I thought I was in the right one haha.
The thing that I find unfortunate is that for the moment at the input lag level and reactivated in Windows games is still above, or maybe it’s my fault
