I could be wrong, but I don’t think plasma-meta installs SDDM. So you don’t have a display manager installed. Do you have a snapshot you can roll back to?

[image] axra: working in Cachy too. You just need to be careful about replacing pamac with pacman (or paru for AUR packages).

Problem is, it is stuck at “running hook [plymouth]” and does nothing else. I do have systemrescue on a USB drive and another os installed, if there is anything I can do with those.

I have tried going into the GRUB menu and adding the paramaters plymouth.enable=0 disablehooks=plymouth because I read that plymouth may be causing the issue, but we are still hanging at the same spot/

Tried removing the splash paramater and now I am stuck on Starting Terminate Plymouth Boot Screen...

Can you get to another shell by doing Ctrl+alt+F2 or Ctrl+alt+F3? If so, you might be able to (un)install some packages that could be causing your issue there.
