Hello from Poland, or Brazil? It depends :P

Hi everyone,

Leaving my mark here as well. Writing from Poland as I move here over 10 years ago, but I was born in Brazil. Moved here because of love (what else?). I live in front of my computer, mostly gaming and listening to music, but I love to read too (mostly Warhammer stuff lately).

My OS is a kind of big deal for my overall mental state and Cachy has been good to me for over a month now, really loving it! I have always been more of a Gnome guy, but I just feel like KDE has been working better as of late. Aesthetics is kind of a big deal for a DE, but I think I managed to do a good job here with KDE, what you guys think?

The 18 days in case anyone asks is because I started with Gnome, but did a fresh install to go for KDE

I’ve been using Linux on and off for over 10 years now. I always loved the freedom Linux gave me, but I missed my games and the performance I had with windows. That stopped being a problem for over a year now and I did a full change not looking back again since. Despite all that time with Linux, I’m a lazy bastard, so never really bothered to learn too much, using mostly beginner friendly distros most of the time (Mint and Ubuntu before, more Fedora and Nobara after that). I moved to Cachy mostly because I wanted to finally start learning a bit more about my system, and while I felt Arch was probably the best for that, I wasn’t quite ready for pure arch just yet (and was quite enticed by the all the tuning the Cachy team did, that for sure I couldn’t duplicate on my own), so yeah, here I’m and I’m loving it

Desktop update

I think the previous desktop layout a bit more aesthetic, but the wallpaper was too bright, so I was suffering a bit with it :stuck_out_tongue:

Also I need date and time in a fixed panel, reason being I’m a bit dyslexic with dates, as in, I really need to focus to remember date month or even year I’m at, so yeah, I need that always visible and centered (not in a tiny corner like before).

Also added papirus icon team form the AUR to get the git version, as well as the handy script to change the folder colors which, to my surprise, is actually maintained by @sirlucjan, kudos for that! You guys sure have your hands everywhere :stuck_out_tongue:

A shame dolphin on the pane to the left doesn’t change the color as well like the Breeze icons do, having it cyan like the Cachy logo would be perfect.

Also, changed back the fastfetch logo back to Cachy, I changed it at the start just because I liked the ascii version of arch better, but later I feel like I should show off more Cachy regardless
