Hello everyone.
I have installed cachy OS with the KDE Plasma desktop and would now like to switch to the gnome desktop.
Is there a clean and safe way to uninstall KDE Plasma and install gnome ? And if so, what would it be?
Or is there no way around a new installation ?

Unless @ptr1337 says different, to install Gnome
pacman -S gnome gnome-extra
To remove Plasma:
sudo pacman -Runs plasma
The “u” will remove anything it deems un-nessacary now.
If your still looking…
That part the U in the command, I didn t know, thx for that @1fallen
ngl i think it would be better to reinstall with gnome since cachy will install everything thats needed
ok, thank you.
I would definitely recommend starting fresh, going between GTK-world and Qt-world. I tried doing the reverse, Gnome → KDE, and was constantly faces with all the little tweaks and programs and such that were done to the system to make it the best Gnome box it could be, that just didn’t work on a KDE based system.
Like, it worked alright… but I was constantly seeing the “scars”.
