Hello CachyOS Community,

I wanted to start by thanking the developers for the fantastic work on the latest releases. CachyOS is daily growing and getting better, and I truly appreciate the effort.

As a user who values privacy highly (and as someone who works in the hacking community), I have been using Element (Matrix) because it is one of the most private communication platforms available. I avoid using Discord due to its lack of privacy features and have lost trust in Telegram following the recent arrest of its CEO.

I noticed that the Element room for CachyOS has become private or invite-only, and I can no longer find the room in Matrix. I was wondering if there is a reason for this change. As someone who relies on these channels for communication and community interaction, I would appreciate any clarification on this matter.

The reason for this was because of raiders in the past. Obviously there are none now since its become invite-only. The decision to make it public again hasn’t been made tho since AFAIK at least, no one on the team is actually active on Matrix.

Yes, that’s true. I recall that some individuals posted random and inappropriate content in the Matrix rooms. It’s clear that any effective communication channel requires management, administration, and 24/7 filtering. However, is there a way I can receive an invitation?
