Hello,
I had to use discover to install plex and plex-amp which were not available with octopi. It seems that i also used it when i installed wallpapers, themes and icons from the KDE desktop. So now, i have, it seems, duplicate between the two installers: mesa and openh264 among others.
This morning, discover offers me to update breeze-gtk from release 6.2.5 to release 6.3-1, while octopi has already installed release 6.3.1-1.
I don’t know what to do. I wouldn’t want to break my system which is otherwise working perfectly.
Under std Arch guidelines, you shouldn’t be using Discover to install non-flatpak software.
I don’t know if this could be the cause of your problems or not…just a general thing.
I know it. But
-
Plex and Plex-amp are flatpak only available.
-
Wallpapers, for instance Wallhaven, when installed directly from the KDE desktop, using System Settings/Wallpaper/Get New Plugins appear as installed in discover, not in octopi. Should they be removed, then reinstalled with octopi ?
Err, if it’s considered a KDE resource (like widgets), I would consider it safe.
If it’s software, no.
