Discord recognizes mic but won't in a voice channel

Overview

Discord now picks up my SteelSeries Arctis 7 Pro mic input in the settings (i.e. when testing the mic), but not when in a voice channel. Other programs like Jitsi still correctly pickup the mic input.

Current Attempts

  1. I verified the settings have the Arctis 7 set to the “Chat Output + Game Output + Chat Input” like was suggested online. I also tried “Chat Output + Game Output” with the same result. It is back to the suggested, now.
  2. I turned off Discord’s “Sound Suppression” and tried the Standard Sound Suppression.
  3. Tried to find CachyOS docs and forum posts on audio/mic problems (I could not find them other than the “Sound Suppression” suggestion from #2).
  4. Checked the output from the commands given in this Arch Forum post. I stored the output in text files if they are helpful.
  5. Tried reading the Arch Wiki on Pulse Audio troubleshooting since the pactl seemed to be a Pulse Audio command. It seemed like only some Pulse Audio commands were available in my shell on CachyOS.
  6. I tried switching to another Desktop Environment (Cosmic).

Problem Details

My SteelSeries Arctis 7 Pro was working with Discord until last week (I believe Sunday, Dec. 8). I know I had done a system upgrade, restarted, and the others in the voice channel heard me for a few minutes. Since the problem started, Discord will successfully hear my voice in settings (i.e. when testing the mic), but I have been unable to get any confirmation of Discord picking up my mic in any voice channels. I have tried multiple servers, the others in the channel cannot hear me, and the green circle confirming voice input does not come up.

Please let me know any other information you need, and thank you in advance for your time.

Solution

In case anyone else is having this issue, disabling the “Automatically determine input sensitivity” setting under the “Voice and Video” settings of Discord worked.
