Change to autologin with cinnamon desktop

Hi - I tried changing to autologin with the cinnamon desktop with no success - how can I do that - thank you

Hi - I went into /etc/lightdm and edited lightdm.config by removing the # in front of autologin and replacing my name in user=
That did not work

make sure the user is member of the group autologin
maybe this group has to be created…

Lightdm and autologin

When installing cachyos, you have the option to select autologin. However that doesn’t seem to work with lightdm and cinnamon. the solution is to do: groupadd -r autologin gpasswd -a “myuser” autologin maybe something to add to the install script. Dutch
