Cannot install CachyOS through USB

Hi guys,

Im a noob and trying to dualboot my PC into CachyOS with KDE. Whenever the USB boots and I try to install, it either redirects me back to the menu where I select CachyOS, CachyOS with prop drivers etc. or it gives me a “need to load kernel first” message and then returns me there.

Fastboot is off, SecureBoot is off aswell.

Used RUFUS, Ventoy and Balena Etcher all so far, same outcome.
Tried to see if it was the ISO, second download did the same thing. Downloaded Manjaro KDE, same issue.

What the hell is the issue and how do I fix it?

Are you certain secureboot is off? I had this exact issue and disabling it resolved the problem.

Yeah. Everything was off.

Got an old USB stick, that’s at this point literally caseless because it’s been beat majorly. Now it works, turns out it was the USB stick. Crazy though since for everyday use it worked aswell as Balena Etcher not noticing it’s broken on the check afterwards.
