Cannot install Cachos, wrong wifi password?

Hi,

Thought I would give this distro a try but it’s not a good start. I can boot from the liveusb but it keeps on telling me the wifi password I entered is wrong even though it’s 100% correct.

tp-link TL-WN823N which has worked fine in kali, ubuntu etc before.

The installer wont lauch which I suspect is due to the non working internet.

Any ideas?

Are you sure, you typed the password correctly in? The keyboard is set to english as default and maybe you have an typo there?

You can go into Settings → Keyboard and then add your keyboards layout.

Yes, it’s typed in correctly and it shows the correct password.

I’ve got a bog standard en-us keyboard.

My recommendation is to buy an Ethernet cable. None of my computers are on WiFi but I understand that your setup has different requirements.

I have an eth cable but it’s not an option in this scenario.

I’m just gonna try vanilla Arch, a bit more work but such is life.
