CachyOS on Intel Sandy Bridge (i5 2500k)?

I’m looking to switch to CachyOS coming from Fedora and Nobara as I’d like to explore Arch and squeeze more performance out of my workstation.

However, in the docs it says CachyOS requires at least a Haswell generation Intel CPU, but I’m still sporting my (t)rusty i5 2500k which is on Sandy Bridge architecture.

Running CachyOS live from USB seems to work fine at a glance, but I’m worried about running into issues when I make it my daily driver.

Would you recommend me not to go for CachyOS in this case?

You should just use arch, I don’t think you can squeeze a lot out of old hardware like that with cachyos. I saw some distros for older hardware, maybe you can have more success with those.
