I installed the ISO on a USB drive and started with NVIDIA driver support. After booting, I opened the default KDE interface and continued with the installation. I followed all the steps and selected the option to format the disk. The installation process began, but at 37% it switched to Pacman and returned an error: “Command
pacman
returned error code 1.” However, when using other desktop environments, the installation worked fine and I was able to install KDE normally. The same problem is also happening in the virtual machine. https://termbin.com/d3fg
I apologize for any errors in my English; I am using Google Translate to communicate my language and Portuguese.
Is this a reoccuring issue? There were problems in hyprland packaging over at Arch a while ago IIRC. It seems fine tho looking at the repo search now. Can you try again?
It’s not a recurring problem, and it’s current on Monday 20/1 I managed to install hyprlend to test how it was, then yesterday 23/01 I went to install it on my computer with a new ISO, and the problem happened, error 1, so I went install on the virtual machine since it had worked on it and also on the virtual machine the same problem happened, I downloaded a new ISO today on the 24th, I tried again and it’s still giving error 1 https://termbin.com/023f
Ah, the hyprland stuff has been sorted now. You’re just installing both cachyos-kde-settings and cachyos-hyprland-settings which are incompatible with each other. You need to pick either, not both.
