Hi so after updating (hope I didn’t reboot by accident) it takes me to this screen don’t know if it’s a kde or nvidia fault and when i tried to install nvidia drivers with sudo pacman -S nvidia it made the problem worse and before this it was a blacks screen i could open tty3

Okay first of all this is wrong. The nvidia package are precompiled for the linux kernel package. Use linux-cachyos-nvidia for linux-cachyos kernel or nvidia-dkms to be kernel-agnostic. For now, can you try adding nomodeset to kernel cmdline and see if that boots. If it doesn’t you can remove quiet splash from kernel cmdline and see where boot fails.

Oh okay ig i will install another desktop enviroment and reinstall cachyos since before it was a black screen i could open tty3 i assume at first it was a kde problem then it became nvidia
KDE should work fine tough…

Have had the same issue with a Lenovo Legion 2021. Sometimes Nvidia breaks stuff, and sometimes this happens. I wish I had a better answer as well, but that is the nature of the hardware. I find changing the system to dedicated GPU mode on a laptop helps a lot. Hybrid leads to a lot of issues.
Frrr I tried cinnamon and it made the same problem so am gonna try distrohopping (sorry)
