Audio broken on Lunar Lake laptop

Hi all!

I’m loving Cachy so far, but I have not been able to get audio to work in any meaningful way.

I am on an Intel Lunar Lake chip - an ASUS Zenbook S 14 UX5406SA Intel(R) Core™ Ultra 7 258V (8) @ 4.80 GHz

I am on the latest kernel as of writing (also tried building myself).

If bluetooth headphones are connected and selected as output (with aptX profile), the media plays at maybe 0.1 FPS and the audio is a garbled unintelligible mess, as if it is sampling at an extremely low rate (not sure if this is actually what is happening, just what it sounds like). If the profile is AAC, everything seems fine (though videos take 3-4 seconds to load or unpause after pause).

If speakers are selected as output, no audio comes through at all and any video on youtube plays for a few milliseconds then “buffers” for a second, plays for a few more, “buffers”, etc.

Neither the internal mic nor my USB webcam mic connected via thunderbolt seem to work either. I tried to apply the fixes in GitHub - dantmnf/zenbook-s14-linux: ASUS Zenbook S 14 (UX5406) but this did not seem to change anything.

Bug report: 6263aaa
Please let me know what other hardware or other information I can provide to help troubleshoot this.

Thanks!

Thanks! I’ve added the logs, and hopefully a detailed enough description of what’s not working.
