In my fstab I have an x-systemd-automount set up for the samba/cifs share from my Nvidia Shield. Kernel 6.6.x was fine, but the current kernel I experience issues. The share mounts fine when browsed to, but if I initiate a copy operation from the share, most of time the copy fails mid stream. There is also a small chance that it will lock up the entire system. I saw in the Arch docs that some times trying different security protocol versions can help so I tried lowering to vers=2.0 and then every single time I copy it locks up the entire system. Anyone else encountered this, or something similar?
I also have a nvidia shield with 4 usb drives attached. I installed samba (default config), connected via dolphin to the drives on the shield shield (smb://x.x.x.x/) and everything gets reconnected each boot. I just copied an 80GB file from the shield without problems. When the shield is off I get an error when clicking the network location but for me it’s workable.
Sorry I missed your response, but thank you so much for your feedback! Glad things are working for you. I’ve tested in multiple File Managers and sadly I don’t have the same experience as you. So maybe it’s a network issue on my end. That’s disappointing.
